BIO: Ever since the Lab has known of my existence, there has been no respite. I was one of the first White-bellied Sholakili to be ringed in 2018 - with a yellow ring - and as you can see, the name has stuck on. I am the unofficial lab mascot because my territory is right outside their dorm door. People are often curious and clueless about my relationship status, despite me literally being in their face all the time. Perhaps it is because I am able to maintain my private life well under secrecy. In the summer of 2021, a few students from the lab upped their research game and monitored my nesting process for the season. I’m currently paired with a ringed individual (with colour ring combination Black-White-Purple-White) and hope to continue to sire several offspring in the years to come. PERSONAL AND OTHER INTERESTS:
I'm love belting out my tunes throughout the day-but my pals are still trying to figure out what I say. I also hold one of the largest territories in the vicinity, so you know, it is a year-round challenge to maintain it! I also love exploring and often come right up to the dorm steps; if only they let me in.... until then, I’ll continue to bask in their attention and maintain my territory in this prime location.
