RESEARCH INTERESTS As a person who enjoys landscapes, topography and maps, my current research interests stem from the desire to explore the applications of remotely sensed data and GIS in conservation biology. These applications include using satellite imageries to understand the changes in natural habitats and the use of environmental variables to predict climate change impacts on ecologically fragile areas. My interests also lie in computational ecology to help make models of ecosystem processes. As a trained geologist, I am also interested in plate tectonics, hydrogeology and geochemistry of natural waters. Projects Involved: Sky Island Birds, Forest Owlet PERSONAL AND OTHER INTERESTS
I love to explore places and go on treks. When at the comforts of my home, I spent time reading sci-fi, historical and detective fiction and there is no wonder if you see me grooving to some amazing music. I have, over time, developed an interest in cooking regional cuisine as well.
