RESEARCH INTERESTS Birding has always been one of my favourite activities, but my interest in research was sparked by the Young Birders’ Camp, 2023 (IISER Tirupati) and the Young Birders’ Event, 2024 (Cornell Lab of Ornithology). I am currently studying in grade 12, and am working on broadening my interests; I love getting my hands on new material! Currently my research interests are phylogeography, evolution, and bioacoustics, and I am assessing geographic variation in the acoustics of the Oriental Magpie-Robin at a subspecies level. I am also interested in palynology and pollen morphology studies. PERSONAL AND OTHER INTERESTS
I love travelling, especially when it involves birding, learning about new cultures, and trying out different foods. Anything to do with nature walks- herping, looking at plants, stargazing- is always welcome! I enjoy art, particularly watercolours, and learn Indian classical music on the flute. I also love reading and watching movies, particularly The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars.
