RESEARCH INTERESTS:
I’m drawn to ecological informatics and wildlife conservation, particularly how we can use acoustic ecology, remote sensing, and data analysis to track biodiversity changes in human-modified landscapes. So far, I’ve been diving into bird soundscapes from ARUs and PAMs deployments in restoration sites, building custom CNN classifiers to map species distributions against habitat gradients, and studying the role of climate in species gradients across elevation and rainfall. I love crafting reproducible R and Python pipelines to sift ecological insights from messy, large-scale data, and I’m excited to apply these approaches to guide ecosystem restoration, evaluate conservation impacts, and inform sustainable development in tropical hotspots. PERSONAL AND OTHER INTERESTS:
When I’m not in the field or coding, I love hitting the road to travel and explore—whether it’s scaling misty mountains, chilling on beaches, or hunting down new food spots that surprise the taste buds. I’m all about that “vibecoding” flow with R and Python sessions, smashing badminton or table tennis rallies, kicking around a football, diving into video games for a mental reset, and capturing epic shots through photography. These keep my energy up and remind me why I chase biodiversity vibes in the wild.
